Domhnall Gleeson Reunites The Paper Underdog Cast to Tease Office Spinoff 

Domhnall Gleeson has offered a glimpse into The Paper, the upcoming spinoff of The Office, describing it as a story about an "underdog" cast uniting to preserve journalism.  Set in the same universe as the original series, The Paper transitions the mockumentary format to a struggling Midwestern newspaper, The Truth Teller, located in Toledo, Ohio.  The familiar documentary crew from The Office now turns their lens on the efforts to rejuvenate this local paper  .

Gleeson portrays an optimistic publisher determined to restore the newspaper's former glory.  He is joined by Sabrina Impacciatore and returning Office alum Oscar Nuñez, who reprises his role as Oscar Martinez, now relocated to Toledo.  The ensemble cast also includes Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, and Tim Key  .

Co-created by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, and executive produced by original Office creators Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, The Paper is slated to premiere on Peacock in September 2025  .
